Cain Schulte Contemporary Art on Townsend in SF

People often don’t think of Pacbell Park area in San Francisco as a gallery scene, but with all the large warehouse lofts near this former industrial area, it is a natural fit. Cain Schulte is a real treasure hidden upstairs located in 101 Townsend near 2nd Street. Owners Kit Schulte and Marina Cain have exquisite taste, and represent artists that are worth keeping an eye on. The gallery represents contemporary artists from the United States and Europe with a focus in painting. The gallery has a continuous exhibition program, that usually features one or two solo shows every 4-6 weeks. Cain Schulte Gallery consistently participates in national and international art fairs. Cain Schulte seeks to champion emerging contemporary artists working in a range of media with a focus on painting, who bring fresh interpretative visions to their genre and work within the context of the most contemporary art trends. Come check out some of their artists when you attend ADORNO’s concert on January 16th, or just come by the gallery anytime to see this great find. We have profiled a few artists here. In January, the main feature will be painter Michael Tole.
