About Pith Music
Welcome to Pith Music, ADORNO Ensemble’s online magazine. Some of you may ask, “why Pith?” or “why the magazine”? “Pith” is in reference to “core” and “substance”. ADORNO is passionate about music that embody those attributes, a.k.a. “contemporary music”, “new music”, or “contemporary classical”, or “art-music”. However you call it, this is what this magazine is all about. We’ll also profile our other “pith-worthy” friends such as visual arts, dance, poetry, and other cross-overs.
Our aim with this new publication is to connect the arts community and make discovering new music fun. We’ll mostly focus on ADORNO’s featured composers, galleries, and gallery artists. In the future, this will be the new home for ADORNO’s radio podcast series “Gallery Sessions”. A big part of this publication is our ADORNO Files, which posts related articles about music, art, poetry, and other articles of interest. We welcome submissions and links! Some of our best articles have been submitted by various ADORNO audiences. To find information about ADORNO and our concert listing, visit our site at adornoensemble.org
Thanks for visiting Pith Music, and let us know what you think.
Enjoy!
